ABOUT ME

MY STORY

Raised in a bilingual German-American home, from an early age Emma Weller was making friends with fairy’s and climbing the trees in her hometown of Cambridge, Massachuesetts. It was there that Emma developed her passion for storytelling which would take her to Boston University School of Theatre where she graduated with a BFA in Theatre Arts: Acting Concentration and a Minor in Dance, and beyond to study at the Accademia Dell’Arte in Italy and with the award-winning theatre company Frantic Assembly in London.

Additionally, Emma has a passion for developing new plays, choreographing for herself and others, and making work of her own! For her senior thesis, she wrote a short film called The Fairy House, which she starred in and co-directed. It was screened within the community, followed by an alumni panel curated and produced by Emma. The Fairy House is set to hit the festival circuit in 2025.

When not on stage, in front of the camera, or in the studio, Emma can be found jumping in the nearest body of water, looking after her window herb garden, or cross-checking one of the billion to-do lists she keeps scattered around.

Emma has a craving for nuanced and timely stories that highlight the universal hopes and dreams we all hold within us, and is not afraid to fight for what she wants. To Emma, performance is about saying “this is how this feels to me, can you understand what I’m saying? Does it feel the same for you?”

Because in the end, what is more powerful and life-changing than listening to each other?

Perhaps all the dragons of our lives are princesses who are only waiting to see us once beautiful and brave.

Since it is so likely that children will meet cruel enemies, let them at least have heard of brave knights and heroic courage.
